Scag Mower

Scag Power Equipment has been building quality commercial mowers since 1983. Easily recognized by its signature bright orange machines, Scag mowers rank high in popularity amongst professional groundskeepers. With over fifty models in production, Scag has become synonymous with durability, reliability, and performance.

Scag’s Zero-Turn Riding Mowers consist of four models. The Turf Tiger was introduced in 1998, and rapidly became one of the most popular mowers in the industry. Its frame is built with double tube steel, lending a rugged, indestructible strength that will last for years. The simple design keeps maintenance requirements low. Cutter decks are available in 52, 61 or 72 inches.

The Wildcat is a smaller machine than the Turf Tiger, but equally as rugged and durable. Cutter decks are available in 48, 52, and 61 inches. The Tiger Cat is similar to the Turf Tiger, but more compact. A recent addition to the Zero-Turn collection is Scag’s newest zero-turn rider, the Freedom Z. The air-cooled engines are as large as 28 hp, with cutter decks ranging from 36 inches up to 61 inches.

Equally impressive is Scag’s line of Walk-Behind Mowers. More affordable than the riders, walk-behind mowers also offer greater maneuverability. Scag’s SWZ Hydro Walk-Behind Mower has dual hydraulic pumps, and cast iron wheel motors. This arrangement delivers power to each wheel independently. With less damage to the grass, and greater productivity, the SWZ Walk-Behind is hard to beat.

Scag also makes a fixed deck belt-drive walk-behind mower called the Scag SW. This mower has a five speed transmission, with cutter deck widths ranging from 32 inches to 52 inches. The SFW Walk-Behind boasts a floating deck, four speed transmission, and deck sizes of 36 inches or 48 inches.

In keeping with its tradition of constant improvement and innovation, Scag recently introduced its first stand-on mower, the V-Ride. An extremely stable, yet comfortable mower, the V-Ride is compact but powerful. Engine sizes are available in 20 hp, 24 hp or 26 hp. Cutter decks come in 36, 48, or 52 inches. The V-Ride successfully combines power and agility with an ingenious space-saving design that makes this machine a worthy addition to any fleet.

The STHM three-wheel rider is Scag’s only front mount mower. With an extra-low center of gravity, the STHM is stable enough to mow even the steepest hillsides. Available with either an Advantage or Velocity Plus cutter deck, widths range from 48 to 61 inches.

As always, Scag stands behind its equipment by offering a 2-year commercial machine warranty, or a 3-year or 500 hour non-commercial machine warranty.
